The volume was reprinted as: Salvini on Shakespeare. Preceded by a Biographical Sketch of Tommaso Salvini from The Century (Scribner's Magazine) of November 1st, 1881, Manchester, Emmott's, 1884 (see).

Between October 1907 and January 1908 the Putnam's Monthly. A Magazine of Literature, Art and Life, published Salvini's essays on shakespearean characters, which had been partly revised compared to the 1881 version, translated by Dircé St. Cyr, actress, writer and US translator:

TRANSLATIONS:
Italian: in the Fall of 1883, the Fanfulla della Domenica, published four essays on the same subject (an introductory article (see), an article on Hamlet (see), one on Macbeth (see), one on Othello (see)) and some added pages on Lear (later translated into English, again for the The Century, in 1884 (see)). The translations follow the English revisions, with minor variants that do not affect their structure or interpretive approach.
